Nurturing Newborns Respite Care for Families

Nurturing Newborns is a nonprofit that provides experienced and specialized care of fragile infants, toddlers, and their families.

Nurturing Newborns offers short-term, in-home respite care. Respite care is a short term, in-home service that provides specialized care of children ages 0-3. Nurturing Newborns offers respite care to families with infants and toddlers that were born prematurely, have delays, disabilities, or health issues.
Additional details about the Nurturing Newborns program:
  • We provide in-home respite care for families with an infant or toddler with delays, disabilities, issues from prematurity or serious illness.
  • We do not provide medical care or dispense medication, but we do care for infants and toddlers with oxygen or using feeding tubes.
  • Our short term respite care support is provided to families at no cost.
  • We specialize in the care of infants and toddlers aged 0-3.
  • Our respite care providers are trained in the FUSSY BABY MODEL OF INTERACTION, and they all receive weekly or bi-weekly supervision.
  • Each family we serve uses the same provider for the duration of respite care in that home.
  • None of the families we support pay out of pocket for respite care.
